How do you choose the right
caterer? You know the right questions to ask and you know your style. You
should interview potential caterers, knowing that each company offers a
different service. Usually the interview process will help you find the
right fit for your event. Be sure to come to your interviews prepared, with
a basic idea of what you want and how much you have to spend. Resources like
'The Knot' or 'Martha Stewart Weddings' can help you determine a list of
questions that may be appropriate to ask potential caterers.
First, you need to
prioritize the costs and needs for your event. Decide if the food for the
event is just to feed your guests, or if you think it is an integral part of
the celebration. If you just need food to feed people, you may consider
cooking your own food, talking to a local grocery deli or calling a café.
This will save you money since service is not usually provided. If food will
play a bigger role in the overall experience of your guests, you will want
to find a full-service caterer whose style matches your own.
At Ciaò Thyme catering, our
passion for food is expressed each time we cater. Our commitment to local,
seasonal and often organic foods is clear when you taste our dishes. We
prepare everything from salad dressings to seasoned bread crumbs in-house.
We think you and your guests will notice the difference.
We know that each client is
an individual, so we want each event to be representative of that client’s
style. To some that means a traditional, sit-down meal with all the
specialties of our region. To others the perfect event may be a casual
atmosphere with small foods passed throughout the night. We will ask you
style questions to help us layout a format for your event. Once we
understand your vision we can move onto menu writing.
Our clients are participants
in the process of designing their menus. When writing a menu, we take into
consideration seasonal availability and event site prep areas. Then, we will
ask you thought provoking questions about flavors, regional cuisines and
your guests to determine the right combination of flavors for your menu.
Maybe you want us to learn your family’s recipes to incorporate in the menu.
Perhaps you have spent time abroad and want an ethnic theme for your food.
We will assimilate your comments and ideas and come back to you with a menu
that represents your vision. We are also sensitive to the needs of
vegetarians, vegans and those with food allergies. Our food is prepared by
us, so we know what goes into each dish.
If this sounds like the
right fit for you, call and set an appointment to meet with us at (360)
733-1267. We look forward to working with you.
